I just came back to this after a long time and am amazed at how completely applicable and well-phrased it remains. This is becoming required reading for anyone who wants to be my friend. THANK YOU for this.

Thank you. So much. I've been reading a lot about trans identities in these past 2 months. Didn't even realise how prejudicial I was. This was a slap in the face, a good one. :)

[...] An Open Letter, from (trans)pose – a great open letter (obviously) to “Cissexual Queer/Gender Theorists, Feminists, and Trans Allies” because “some of y’all have been talking about me, and you’ve been talking so loudly that you haven’t been hearing what I’m saying. this is an awesome post. thank you.

i don't identify as feminine but i don't consider myself masculine either. more androgynous than anything else, i suppose.

so, thanks a lot. :)

I left a comment at the repost on QT, but I wanted to reiterate how awesome this post is. As a trans woman whose identity rejects compulsory femininity I often feel invisible, and when I see those "But I don't know any!" comments by people with things like the Top Hot Butches list I just want to scream.
